Born
in England and raised in Portugal, Joe Faulder is a singer songwriter
that dreams up songs that chronicle the simple joys and afflictions
of the human existence.
Fusing the energy of rock with the intimacy of folk, Joe affords
a powerful kinetic journey to the depths of the human soul. His
sound is smooth and sultry, yet flexible enough to mesh in any
environment. Impelled by soaring rock vocals, his lyrical prowess
meshes seamlessly with the overwhelming warmth of an acoustic
guitar. Paying homage, and channeling, the icons that paved the
musical landscape prior, Joe delivers irresistible pop hooks that
evoke the power of legends such as Van Morrison and Jeff Buckley;
yet, modern influences like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana
help flesh his sound out with the gritty texture that illuminates
his infectious melodies.
An act cultivated on the cobble-stoned roads of Boston, Joe became
an integral facet of the city’s thriving musical landscape.
It was there that he honed his craft and molded himself into the
artist that he is today. In a society where artists are created
in the studio and on the screen, Joe’s talent was born and
his heart is home on the stage.
Now in New York City, after two independent releases, Joe is in
the studio recording his first, as yet titled, full-length album.
With an army of seasoned producers and musicians, Joe has been
working to evolve his sound. The album will be released at the
end of 2004 on the upstart indie label, Abrad Records.
Endowed with talents beyond his music, Joe will co-star in the
epic motion picture rock opera Bohemia. Shooting in California
and being released in theaters later this year. Joe has a major
role in a cast of A-list heavyweights.
A new staple on the New York performance circuit, Joe has enjoyed
reasonable success in the city that never sleeps. He has played
at the Bitter End, the Mercury Lounge, CBGBs, Sidewalk Café,
among many others. Still actively involved in the Boston music
scene, Joe maintains a healthy relationship with his bean town
following. New bookings in the summer and fall of 2004 will see
Joe hit the Pacific coast and Europe as his music, his brand,
expand.
His music is available on Cdbaby.com, Apple’s itunes, Rhapsody,
Napster; he has enjoyed modest success from his internet-based
following. His music has been bought online by fans around the
world from Connecticut to Osaka, Japan.
The future is blaring for this rising star.
